Many of the faculty papers, departmental records and alumni collections have finding aids, or inventories, that provide information about their contents. They can be accessed by using the following tools:
Online at http://discover.lib.umn.edu/findaid/, a website capable of searching across finding aids not only in University Archives but in other archives and special collections held at the University of Minnesota.
The University Library’s on-line catalog MNCAT at http://www.lib.umn.edu/ describes various collections held in University Archives.
The University Archives website at http://special.lib.umn.edu/uarch/
Print card catalog, located in University Archives. Contact University Archives staff for information about holdings in the print catalog at uar@umn.edu or by calling 612-624-0562.
Paper copies of finding aids available in University Archives. Descriptions for many collections that are not available on-line may be available in print format.
