Location
The Social Welfare History Archives is located in 320 Elmer L. Andersen Library on the West Bank Campus of the University of Minnesota. The University campus is approximately one mile from downtown Minneapolis and eight miles from the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

Hours
The Andersen Library reading room is open for research from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday and from 8:30-7:00 on Wednesday and Thursday.
Getting to Andersen Library at the University of Minnesota
The Social Welfare History Archives is located in 320 Elmer L. Andersen Library on the West Bank Campus of the University of Minnesota. The University campus is approximately one mile from downtown Minneapolis and eight miles from the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. There are nearby stops for city buses, airport hotel shuttles, and light rail. There is no parking immediately adjacent to the library, but there are surface lots and parking ramps within 1-3 blocks.

Clarke Chambers Travel Fellowship
Support for travel to do research in the Kautz Family YMCA Archives is available. Three or four Clark Chambers Travel Fellowships are awarded each year, with preference given to dissertation writers and early-career scholars. Travel fellowship funds may be used for transportation, lodging, meals, and (to the extent that funds permit) photocopying of archival documents.
