Although the Tretter Collection is not a lending library, Jean tries hard (very hard in fact) to make the artifacts accessible to the GLBT community. His philosophy is that history belongs to everybody.. not just academics.

To that end, he does a lot of outreach in the form of local exhibitions and displays.  He also provides informational assistance to community members at local, national and international levels. We are also working on building an online, multimedia database that will be accessible from any web browser.

So regardless of whether you are working on your high school social studies project or your Ph.D., if it relates to the GLBT community, Jean can probably assist you in some way.
