The Highland Park Branch of the YMCA, located at 570 Jamaica Avenue in Brooklyn near the Queens boundary, began as the Twenty-Sixth Ward Branch of the YMCA in 1893 in a building at Pennsylvania and Liberty Avenues. Like its predecessor, the Highland Park branch was known for its gymnastics and baseball prowess, continuing that emphasis well into the 1960s.

In 1926 a new building, at 570 Jamaica Avenue, opened and the name of the branch changed to Highland Park. That address continued to be the home of a YMCA branch, although its name changed. In 1977, the Highland Park branch offered joint programming with the Ridgewood branch in Queens. By 2008 it had become the North Brooklyn/12 Towns branch.

Photos from the Highland Park Branch of the YMCA and its predecessor, the Twenty-Sixth Ward Branch. Included are publicity photos and candids of athletic teams and events, images of interiors and exteriors of the building and its ground-breaking ceremony, and a small number of photos of non-athletic activity.
