The Minnesota Board on Aging (MBA) was founded in 1956 to provide
information on services to seniors in Minnesota. The board has 25 members
appointed by the governor. By working with Area Agencies, MBA proposes
solutions to concerns of the elderly. Another responsibility of the MBA is to
manage the funds of the Older American Act. This funding provides a variety of
services to seniors throughout the state.
