The Group for the Advancement of Doctoral Education (GADE) is an organization that promotes and sets standards for doctoral programs in social work education. GADE is comprised of directors of doctoral educational programs in social work and social welfare. It was founded in the early 1980s to allow for discussion and information exchange regarding issues in social work doctoral education and to promote the interests of doctoral social work education.
