		<p>Miss Merna Gilbertson worked at the St. Paul Orpheum Theater as a stenographer 
		from September 10th 1915, to May 2, 1916, while at the theater, and subsequently 
		as an employee of the Great Northern Railroad, Miss Gilbertson collected memorabilia 
		of the theater artists who came to town in performances or on film in feature movies. 
		The scrapbook ends sometime in 1917.</p>

		<head>Scope and Content Note</head> 
		<p>The Gilbertson Orpheum Theater Scrapbook contains a mixture of clippings, programs, 
		posters, ephemera, and personal items. Most of the material is related to theater and 
		movies. There is also a “Little Reminders” section with sports news and clippings 
		and personal items such as dance cards, letters, postcards, and mimeographed poetry. 
		Miss Gilbertson was in Winona in 1917, and the scrapbook contains several letters 
		addressed to her there, as well as material from the Winona Opera House.  </p>
