Frederick William Hilgendorf was an actor and director in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He earned his M.A. from University of Minnesota in 1940.
The collection comprises correspondence with friends and associates (1938-1966), diaries (1950-1951), clippings (1936-1965), certificates and diplomas, copies of 72 plays directed by Hilgendorf in Minneapolis theaters, phonograph recordings and photos.
