The collection was donated to the Northwest Architectural Archives by the Minneapolis Public Library in November 2000.

Historical Note

The Mid-American Solar Energy Complex (MASEC) was a federally funded initiative exploring the use of solar energy for homes. The program was based in Bloomington, Minnesota for a time, until its funding was cut by the Reagan administration.
