		<head>Biographical Note</head> 
		<p>Philip C. Bettenburg was born on September 23, 1900 in Minnesota. He
		  was educated at the University of Minnesota and established an architectural
		  practice in St. Paul. In 1922, he formed a partnership with George R. Townsend
		  and Sidney L. Stolte. Buildings designed by Bettenburg and his partners include
		  the Anoka (Minnesota) City Hall, First National Auto Bank (St. Paul), the
		  Minneapolis Armory and A. L. Cole Memorial Building (Pequot Lakes, Minnesota).
		  Bettenburg died on November 20, 1968. </p>

		<head>Scope and Content Note</head> 
		<p>The collection includes plot plan, plans, elevations, details and
		  schedules of the Minneapolis Armory Building (1935). The National Guard Armory
		  of Austin, Minnesota section includes pencil on vellum (1931) plans, sections,
		  framing and other details, and an elevation, while the 1950(?), 1958 section
		  includes blueprints and blueline plans and details. Also included are
		  blueprints (1950) by the firm of Bettenburg, Townsend and Stolte for the
		  Traffic Control Cab of the Administration Building at Holman Field (St. Paul
		  Airport). </p>
