Historical Note

The architectural survey of Ramsey County was carried out in 1982-1983
under a plan by the St. Paul Heritage Preservation Commission and the Ramsey
County Historical Society. The objective was to identify buildings of all types
that were significant for the quality of their architecture. These structures
could then be considered for eventual designation as local landmarks. Several
hundred buildings were researched in detail, resulting in the survey data
contained in this collection.
