Rosalynd Mary Cohen Pflaum is noted for biographies she has written regarding French women, including Marie Curie and Madame de Stael. She was also the founder of WAMSO, the women's association of the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra (later named the Minnesota Orchestra). She and her family have long been supporters of the Orchestra.
The collection includes the corrected typescript (365 numbered pages), corrected carbon typescript (337 numbered pages), an uncorrected carbon typescript (337 numbered pages), a galley proof, a plate proof and two copies of the author's proof, all corrected.
