		<head>Biographical Note</head> 
		<p>Author and radio commentator Clara Chapline Thomas Aldrich was born in
		  Richmond, Indiana in 1884. She attended the University of Minnesota where she
		  was an editor of the 
		<title> <emph render="italic">The Gopher</emph></title> and wrote
		occasional articles for 
		<title><emph render="italic">The Minnesota Daily</emph></title>. After
		graduation in 1900 she taught classics for three years and then became a
		reporter and columnist for the 
		<title><emph render="italic">Minneapolis Tribune</emph></title> and a
		radio commentator for WCCO in Minneapolis. She wrote numerous novels, short
		stories, and articles. Her novel 
		<title><emph render="italic">Enchanted Hearts</emph></title>, was adapted
		for Broadway under the title 
		<title><emph render="italic">A Prince There Was</emph></title>, and was
		later made into a movie of the same title. Aldrich died in 1967 in
		Minneapolis.</p>
