Materials are open to research without restriction except for portions designated as restricted, confidential, or sealed. For the latter material, prior permission in writing from the President of the Minnesota Orchestral Association is required.

Permission to examine this collection will be granted to any qualified researcher upon completion of an application form. The original documents do not circulate and may only be used in the Reading Room of the Manuscripts Division.

Photoreproduction and audio reproduction of any materials in which the Minnesota Orchestral Association holds copyright, shall be performed only with the written permission of the MOA except for photoreproduction of any published materials of the Association in the public domain.

The collection is organized in rough subject order.

 Historical Note

Before the move to Orchestra Hall in the 1970s, the Orchestra staff was fairly small and activities such as ticket sales and box office were handled by the same staff that managed other activities.

 Scope and Content Note

The collection contains files relating to box office and ticket sales. They were re-arranged from the original offices of origin. They seem to have come from the offices of Richard Cisek, Donald Engle, Charles Fullmer, and Richard Bass. They contain information regarding tickets sold, weather conditions during concerts, and names of conductors and soloists. Also included is a Ticket Sales Policy Manual.
