		<p>This includes files from many different offices; the files were merged
		  at some point. They include Marketing Committee meeting reports, staff reports
		  on specific series ( 
		  <name>Sommerfest</name>, 
		  <name>Weekender Pops</name>, etc.), marketing summaries, and marketing
		  brochures.</p> 
		<p>Only a small sample of correspondence was retained in
		  <emph render="underline">Boxes 1-2</emph>. They include routine correspondence
		  regarding programs and publicity of events, especially of summer concerts,
		  Rochester &amp; St. Cloud programs, and tour planning.</p> 
		<p><emph render="underline">Boxes 6-7 </emph>contain numerous surveys of
		  Orchestra musicians, of county voters, and of Orchestra audience members.</p> 
		<p><emph render="underline">Box 8</emph> contains thank-you letters and
		  letters of comment and complaint from audience members along with responses by
		  Orchestra staff, mainly 
		  <persname>Richard Cisek</persname>. The responses provide insights into
		  Orchestra programming, policies &amp; procedures, labor negotiations, and other
		  matters. Only a sample of representative letters was retained.</p> 
		<p><emph render="underline">Boxes 5, 9-13 </emph>contain an extensive set
		  of marketing brochures. Some of the earlier group were from promotion books
		  that may have been kept by members of the Marketing staff. Some brochures may
		  come from the Public Affairs office. During processing it was decided to bring
		  together all unprocessed brochures since they were probably created by
		  Marketing staff. Note that brochures from the 1950s and 1960s are included in
		  the Public Affairs records.</p>
