Permission to examine this collection will be granted to any qualified researcher upon completion of an application form. The original documents do not circulate and may only be used in the Reading Room of the Manuscripts Division.

Robert Neu joined the staff of the Minnesota Orchestral Association in August 1995 as vice president and general manager. He had previously served as orchestra manager of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and in comparable positions with the Akron Symphony Orchestra, the Lake Forest Symphony, and Julliard.
Neu is a native of Omaha and received a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Kansas and a Master of Music degree from the Juilliard School of Music. He is a professional clarinetist, piano accompanist, and vocal coach.
The collection includes personnel records, administrative records, and programming files. They document the breadth of involvement by the general manager in many activities of the organization due to his supervision of the departments of Personnel, Education, Operations, Artistic Administration, Library, Facilities, and Events. Due to the ongoing and overlapping nature of work within the association, Neu's files also contain files from his predecessors. There are also files from Neu's tenure in Series 4.4.
