Peter R. Zuzolo served the Order Sons of Italy in America as 3rd Assistant Supreme Venerable (1985-1987), and Grand Venerable of the New York Grand Lodge (1977-1981).

Scope and Content

The Peter R. Zuzolo Order Sons of Italy in America collection consists of materials pertaining to the Supreme Executive Council minutes and Plenary Session minutes (1980-1986), and to the New York Grand Lodge and other grand lodges. New York Grand Lodge materials include convention books (1961-1987), Grand Council minutes (1980-1986), and committees and programs. Other Grand Lodges represented are those of California, Delaware, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Northwest, Ohio, Ontario, Texas, and Virginia. The collection also includes newsletters and correspondence relating to numerous local lodges in New York and particularly to Arturo Toscanini Lodge No. 2107 (East Northport, N.Y.). The latter materials include minutes, by-laws, correspondence, and programs. Materials relating to non-OSIA organizations include the American Committee for Italian Migration (ACIM), AMITA, the New York City Board of Education, and numerous other ethnic and heritage groups.
