Vitalis Zukauskas was born in Lithuania and came to the United States after World War II. In 1951, he organized the Lithuanian Community Players in Brooklyn, New York. A dramatist and author, he also performed as a comedian in a topical one-man show called the Theater of One; the show was staged for Lithuanian audiences in Canada, Australian, and the United States.

Scope and Content

Papers (1949-1969) of Vitalis Zukauskas, a Lithuanian American dramatist and author of the History of Lithuanian Theater from 1574 to 1864 include programs; announcements; bulletins; and miscellany on Lithuan American cultural activities.
