<p>Founded in 1940, the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA) serves as the major Ukrainian umbrella organization in the United States. The Minnesota branch was established in 1949.</p>

<p>Records (ca. 1949-1986) of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America, Minnesota Branch include correspondence, photographs, and other materials pertaining to the organization's activities. Records (1961-1964) of the Shevchenko Memorial Committee of Minnesota which was organized through the UCCA are also included.</p>
