Biographical/Historical Note

Albert Tezla, born in 1915 in South Bend, Ind. taught English at the University of Minnesota, Duluth from 1949-1983. He is the author of numerous works on Hungarian and Hungarian American literature and history.

Scope and Content

Drafts for a book-length publication by Albert Tezla entitled, The Hazardous Quest: Hungarian Immigrants in the United States, 1895-1920. Materials are primary documents (letters, newspaper articles, official records) translated from Hungarian to English.
