An engineer and translator, Oksana Solovey (1919- ) was born in Poltava, Ukraine. She was educated at the University of Kharkiv and the University of Minnesota, and worked for Waterous Co. (St. Paul, Minn.) Solovey also worked as a translator and editor for companies and publications in the United States and Canada and was active in Ukrainian American organizations.

Mainly in Ukrainian; some English.

Scope and Content

Papers (1961-1972) of Oksana Solovey (1919- ) consist of flyers, correspondence, announcements, newspaper clippings, etc. pertaining to organizations such as the Ukrainian Writers' Association in Exile "Slovo," Ukrainian Socialist Party-Munich, Ukrainian National Republic in Exile, Ukrainian American Professional Club-Twin Cities (Minn.), and others.
