<head>Biographical/Historical Note</head>
<p>A character actor in theater, Eduardo Migliaccio (1882-1946) was born in Cava dei Tirreni, Salerno, Italy, and came to the United States in 1897 with his family. He worked for a time at the Sandolo Bank (Hazelton, Pennsylvania) and then became involved in theater, using the name "Fafariello". He wrote verses and music for his sketches, and soon became well known for his "macchiette" or character studies in the Italian American theater.</p>
