<head>Biographical/Historical Note</head>
<p>Anne and Angela Marinelli had distinguished careers as librarian and teacher, respectively. Daughters of John and M. Concetta (Varriano) Marinelli, who immigrated to the United States from Vinchiatero, Provincia di Campobassi, Italy, the sisters grew up in Hibbing, Minnesota. Angela received an M.A. from Columbia University and traveled and taught extensively. She developed state-wide programs for the Minnesota Department of Education. Anne was educated at the University of Wisconsin, Columbia University, and the University of Illinois and worked at various libraries including college libraries in Minnesota and Illinois.</p>
