Josip Kraja (1891- ) was born in Dubrovnik and immigrated to the United States in 1907. He settled in Youngstown, Ohio, where he owned a printing company and published several foreign language newspapers. He was editor of Hrvatska Stampa. Kraja also served several times as president of the National Croatian Circle.

Scope and Content

Papers (1915-1965) of Josip Kraja (1891- ) include correspondence (1933-1976); records of the National Croatian Circle; business records of the United Printing Company (Youngstown, Ohio), which Kraja owned; photographs; notebooks; newspaper clippings; periodicals; and other personal, professional, and organizational papers.
