Stephan Golash (1919- ), an agricultural engineer and microbiologist, was born in Ukraine. He studied and taught at various technical institutes and colleges in Ukraine and the United States and was a member of numerous Ukrainian American educational, professional, and cultural organizations. Golash became a United States citizen in 1957.

Scope and Content

Papers (1958-1972) of Stephan Golash include correspondence with the Society of Veterans of Ukrainian Insurgent Army, Komitet Hromadskoï diï za Patriiarkhat UKTserkvy, the Ukrainian Student Organization of Michnovsky (TUSM), the Committee for the Defense of Soviet Political Prisoners, and the Research Society for Ukrainian Terminology. Also included are materials pertaining to Ukrainian community activities in the United States.
