<head>Biographical/Historical Note</head>
<p>Leonardo Giasone was an immigrant from Italy who settled in Detroit, Mich. He became very active in the Order Sons of Italy in America, Progresso Lodge No. 1031, which often held its meeting at his home during the 1920s and 1930s. The Lodge was chartered in 1920.</p>

<p>Papers (1923, 1926) of Leonardo Giasone include records and artifacts pertaining to the OSIA Progress Lodge No. 1031, Detroit, Mich. Included are a Mortuary Fund card and a membership certificate, both in Giasone's name; lapel pins; Progresso No. 1031 curator pin and ribbon, Comitato pin and ribbon, and Comitato pin, ribbon and emblem.</p>
