<head>Biographical/Historical Note</head>
<p>A writer and journalists, Mikhail Eisenstadt-Jeleznov (pseud. M. K. Argus)(1900-1970) was born in Minsk, Russia, and came to New York in 1924. For many years, he worked for Novoye Russkoye Slovo (The New Russian World) as a humor and political columnist. Under his pseudonymn, he authored several books, including Moscow on the Hudson (1951) and A Rogue With Ease (1953). He also contributed to the Saturday Review and wrote several books in Russian.</p>
