<head>Biographical/Historical Note</head>
<p>An administrative judge in the Court of Common Pleas, Philadelphia, Pa., Nicholas Cipriani has held several offices in the Order Sons of Italy in America. He served the Pennsylvania Grand Lodge as Second Assistant Grand Venerable (1975-1977), First Assistant Grand Venerable (1977-1981), and Grand Venerable (1981-1985). In 1987, he was elected National Orator of OSIA.</p>

<p>Papers (1947-1966) of Nicholas A. Cipriani consist of photographs of Order Sons of Italy in America functions. Included are pictures of a Delaware Grand Lodge Banquet, Supreme Deputy Nicholas Cipriani (1966); Delaware Grand Lodge officers (1966); Pennsylvania Grand Lodge Presentation of a portrait of Frank Tropea (1962); and the Pennsylvania Grand Lodge Building Committee (1947).</p>
