Biographical
Sketch
Ruth Christoffer Carlsen was born in Milwaukee, WI in 1918 and
received her B.A. from the University of Minnesota in 1939. She was married to
G. Robert Carlsen in 1941 and they edited a few books together before Ruth
began writing children's books on her own. Her first book for children was
Mr. Pudgins published in 1953.
