Biographical Sketch

Jane Kurtz was born April 17, 1952, in Portland Oregon. She became an author of children's books, and a high school and university teacher. She writes fiction for children, and non-fiction for both children and adults. Her parents decided to become missionaries to Ethiopia when she was two years old, so she was brought up there as a child, and draws upon these experiences in her writing.
