Biographical
Sketch
Roslyn "Roz" Kroop Abisch was born April 2, 1927, in Brooklyn N.Y to
Benjamin and Frieda Kroop. Educated at Brooklyn College in the 40s, Abisch
rotated regularly between teaching and copywriting until the mid-60s when her
book was published with lifelong companion Boche Kaplan, entitled
Open Your Eyes. Together the two women
collaborated on many additional titles, mainly working under the pseudonym
'A.K. Roche'.

The Abisch Collection contains written production material from 2
titles, including typescripts, correspondence, text proofs, and notes. It also
contains illustrative production material from 1 title Sweet Betsy From Pike, including a photostat dummy,

print proofs, and sheet music. Both titles are from the turn of the 70s.
