Biographical Sketch

Nancy Smiler Levinson was born November 5, 1938 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She attended the University of Minnesota, B.A., 1960. Ms. Levinson worked as a reporter, researcher, and editor for various newspapers, magazines, and publishers before becoming a free-lance writer in 1975. She published her first work, Cindersara, in 1980.

 Scope and Content

The collection contains materials for four titles published between 1988 and 1997. It includes typescripts, notes, front matter, page and galley proofs, and a publisher's dummy. There is also a substantial amount of correspondence dealing with the publication of Clara and the Bookwagon.
