		<head altrender="history"><emph render="bold">Biographical
		  Sketch</emph></head>
		<p>Milo Winter was born on August 7, 1888 in Princeton, Illinois. He was
		  an illustrator of children's books, employeed as the chief illustrator for the
		  Silver Burdett Co. and as art director of Field Enterprises. Mr. Winter was the
		  illustrator of many classics republished for children, including
		  <emph render="italic">Treasure Island</emph> by Robert Louis Stevenson,
		  <emph render="italic">Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea</emph> by Jules
		  Verne and <emph render="italic">A Christmas Carol</emph> by Charles Dickens. He
		  died on August 15, 1956.</p>
