 <bioghist encodinganalog="545" id="hb"><head altrender="history"><emph render="bold">Biographical Sketch</emph></head><p>Eleanor Graham Vance was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1908.  She received her B.A. degree from Westminster College and a Master's Degree in Journalism from Northwestern University.  Her careers centered on teaching and writing, and she wrote books for both adults and children, seeing many similarities between them</p>
