Biographical Sketch

John Lonzo Anderson was born the first of March in 1905 of a small apple-producing community just north of Atlanta, Ellijay, Georgia. A Harvard alumnus of 1928, Anderson married illustrator Adrienne Adams in 1934. As husband and wife they would go on to write and illustrate many children's books together. His work includes A Fifteenth Century Cookery Bake, Two Hundred Rabbits, Bag of Smoke and Mr. Biddle and the Birds.
