		  Sketch</emph></head> 
		<p>Berthe Amoss was born in 1925 in New Orleans, LA. Educated at Tulane
		  University for both her B.A. and M.A., Amoss's compositional and illustrative
		  etchings on the world of children's literature has been great. Her name has
		  donned over thirty titles and was the runner-up for the Edgar Allan Pow Award
		  in 1977. Amoss is married with six children. </p>
