		<p> Alan Edwin Cober was born in New York City in 1935. He was a noted
		  illustrator, publishing work in adult and children's books and in magazines
		  such as <emph render="italic">Newsweek</emph> and <emph render="italic">Rolling
		  Stone.</emph> He died in 1998.</p>
