 <bioghist encodinganalog="545" id="hb"><head altrender="history"><emph render="bold">Biographical Sketch</emph></head><p>Barbara Bottner was born in 1943 in New York City. She attended Boston University 1961-62. She also attended the Ecole des Beaux Arts 1963-1962. She received her BS from the University of Wisconsin in 1965. She received her MA from the University of California in 1966. She has pursued a varied career as a free lance writer, kindegarten teacher, actress, animation producer, set designer, art instructor and, most recently a staff writer for the series Nickelodeon. She received a Best Film for Television award from the International Animation Festival, Annecy, France, 1973 for the film Goat in a Boat, as well as other awards. </p></bioghist>
