		  Sketch</emph></head> 
		<p> Lilian Isabel Obligado was born April 12, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
		  While growing up, and as an adult, she has also lived in Europe, and in the
		  United States, on both coasts. She became primarily an illustrator of
		  children's books, though she has written and self-illustrated a small number of
		  books.</p>
