To/From Airport: Airport shuttle services most hotels for about $11.00 one way ($18-$20 round trip). The Holiday Inn Metrodome, only 2 blocks away, is often a convenient dropoff/pickup point for people, as is the Mondale Law Building. Taxi fare is about $20.00. Metro Bus Transportation: Metro Transit bus Route 16A runs from downtown Minneapolis to downtown St. Paul via University and Washington Avenues; stops on Washington Avenue immediately west of the Mississippi River (at Willey Hall -- adjacent to Andersen Library or at Blegen Hall -- across the bridge from Andersen Library). Bus fare is $1.75 for a round trip transfer good for 2-1/2 hours ($2.25 during rush hours).
Light Rail: Light-rail service between Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and downtown Minneapolis is available. Connections to and from the University campus can be made by means of a transfer to a Metro Transit bus (Routes 3, 16, or 50) at the Downtown East/Metrodome Station. Fares and instructions for where to get on and off the bus on campus are the same as those listed in the bus information above
